Jane Magrath is well known as a pianist, author, and clinician. Her work with classical teaching literature has been central to the revival of interest in that music in the United States. Her two books, Piano Literature for Teaching and Performance and The Pianist’s Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literature, are part of many pianists’ libraries, as are her classical anthologies. She served on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma for 38 years.
