Lois Svard is Professor Emerita of piano at Bucknell University. She has received critical acclaim for her performances and recordings of contemporary American piano music and is well-known for her work in applying current neuroscience research to the study and performance of music. She is the author of The Musical Brain: What Students, Teachers, and Performers Need to Know (Oxford University Press) and the author of the blog The Musician’s Brain.
