Announced at a reception honoring Phyllis during The Piano Conference: NCKP 2025, the Phyllis Lehrer Piano Pedagogy & Artistry Fund supports teacher education and student programming that reflect the values she has championed throughout her distinguished career. This includes enrichment opportunities at The New School for Music Study, such as the Program for Excellence in Piano Study (PEPS), chamber music, and other initiatives that foster artistic growth and educational excellence.
Created to honor her extraordinary contributions, the fund represents the beginning of a lasting tribute to Phyllis’s legacy. It will continue to elevate the standards of piano teaching and learning for years to come.
