NCKP 2025: Summit FAQs
The NCKP 2025 Innovation Summit will empower participants to envision the future of piano education through creative and collaborative activities that elevate the role of piano educators in society and advocate for every individual’s right to create music. With keynotes, group discussions, and reflective exercises, attendees will explore how piano teaching can adapt and flourish in an ever-evolving world.
All teachers and pianists who are passionate about creating a sustainable future for piano education are invited to attend.
The Summit will kick off with a keynote speaker who will frame our work for the day.
The Summit is designed to be a collaborative day for participants, who will be working individually and in small and large groups to reflect on and vision an innovative future for piano education. Through a series of activities guided by facilitators and discussion leaders, participants will define the priorities for our profession and create actionable steps for a sustainable future.
Participants in the Summit should arrive on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Registration will begin at 8:00 am with the programming beginning at 9:00 am. The day will conclude at approximately 5:00 pm.
Attendees will be provided with a Summit handbook and other writing materials for the day. Attendees may wish to bring a water bottle. Coffee and water will be available throughout the day.
Attendees will select their desired track for participation: Higher Education Curriculum, Teaching Practices, and New Professionals. While participants will be at mixed tables, the afternoon sessions will allow each track to move to their own room to focus on the specific needs of those participants.

The Summit is included in your full conference registration. If registering only for the Summit, the registration fee is $199.
