Sheryl Iott is an active performer, speaker, teacher, and adjudicator, and an examiner and online course facilitator for the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto. Shas has taught at the University of Brasilia as a Fulbright Scholar, as well as for Interlochen Arts Camp, Grand Rapids Community College, Hope College, and Michigan State University. Frequently published, Dr. Iott’s current research focuses on music cognition and cognition-enhanced practice strategies. Her book, Thinking and Playing Music: Intentional Strategies for Optimal Practice and Performance was published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2021.
