PRESS RELEASE: 23 September 2026
Kingston, NJ — 09/23/2026 — Piano Magazine Editor-in-Chief Dr. Pamela D. Pike will be completing her distinguished tenure in 2027. Her time with Piano Magazine has been marked by editorial excellence, innovation, and meaningful growth for the publication.
Since assuming leadership in 2018, Dr. Pike has helped shape the magazine’s voice and vision, guiding its editorial team through a period of significant achievement and strengthening its reputation among readers, contributors, and industry peers. Under her leadership, the magazine went through major restructuring of its editorial process, thus increasing the magazine’s engagement with the communities it serves. In the spring of 2019, she oversaw a rebranding as the Piano Magazine for clarity of purpose. At the same time, she worked with the Center’s leadership team to reimagine and redesign the magazine (launched in Autumn 2019). In addition, she led publication of the impactful bonus COVID-19 issue in late-spring 2020 (vol. 12, no. 2).
“We are deeply grateful for Dr. Pike’s dedication and commitment to editorial excellence. The impact of her work will continue to be felt throughout the organization for years to come.” said Dr. Jennifer Snow, President and CEO of The Frances Clark Center.
Reflecting on the transition, Pike said, “I truly believe that the Piano Magazine continues its rich legacy of providing valuable and unparalleled professional resources to the entire piano teaching and learning community. I look forward to seeing the Piano Magazine develop under new leadership.”
Dr. Pike will remain in the role through the spring of 2027 to ensure a smooth transition and support ongoing editorial initiatives.
Piano Magazine remains committed to its editorial mission and looks forward to building on the strong foundation established under Dr. Pike’s leadership. The application portal is open for those interested in the position.
