Call for Participation
The Frances Clark Center is pleased to announce a call for participation in the pedagogical video repertoire libraries From the Artist Bench and Inspiring Artistry. Both new and established professionals are encouraged to submit an application to participate in these innovative teaching resources.
From the Artist Bench
The From the Artist Bench repertoire series addresses the preparation, interpretation, and performance of advanced repertoire. Videos highlight pedagogical best practices for musical and technical challenges, practice suggestions, interpretive ideas for the selected work, and include a full performance of the piece.
Inspiring Artistry
The Inspiring Artistry repertoire series focuses on pedagogical approaches and provides detailed guidelines for the preparation, practice, and mastery of standard late-elementary and intermediate literature. Modules include video and written teaching tips that offer new insights and ideas into the selected work and include a full performance of the piece.
All works submitted must be within the public domain or the applicant must show publisher approval if selected. The submission of works that are underrepresented and/or not in the traditional canon is highly encouraged.
The online application submission includes:
- Proposed repertoire (including all identifying numbers, keys, composer, dates)
- Proposed series (From the Artist Bench or Inspiring Artistry)
- Resume
- Brief video (one minute or less) of introduction to include: applicant’s name, proposed composition, composer, and key aspects of the composition
- Link to the applicant’s performance of the repertoire
Application deadline: Tuesday, December 1, 2026, 11:59 PM PST.
